The Country

Haiti: A Land of Resilience and Hope
Located in the Caribbean, Haiti is a country known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and breathtaking landscapes. However, it is also a nation that has faced its fair share of challenges. God’s Chosen Ones Ministry (GCOM) recognizes the unique needs of the Haitian people and is committed to supporting them in their journey towards a better future.
Despite being marked by political instability, economic struggles, and natural disasters, Haiti is a place of astounding resilience. Its people have shown incredible strength and determination in the face of adversity. GCOM acknowledges and admires their unwavering spirit, and endeavors to be a source of hope and support for them.
One of the key areas where GCOM focuses its efforts in Haiti is healthcare. The country’s healthcare system continues to face numerous challenges, with limited access to quality medical services for many Haitians. Through medical camps, GCOM provides free medical care, screenings, vaccinations, and essential medications to those who need them most. We believe that by addressing the immediate health needs of individuals, we can make a lasting impact on their overall well-being.
Education is another area where GCOM is making a difference in Haiti. We understand that education provides a pathway for empowerment, opening doors to opportunities and breaking the cycle of poverty. Through various educational initiatives, such as providing school supplies, supporting schools and teachers, and implementing literacy programs, GCOM aims to equip Haitian children with the tools they need to thrive academically and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
GCOM also recognizes the importance of community development in Haiti. We partner with local organizations to implement sustainable projects that address critical needs, such as access to clean water, sanitation, and infrastructure improvements. By working closely with the Haitian people and engaging them in the development process, we strive to empower communities and foster long-term growth and self-sufficiency.
Through our work in Haiti, GCOM seeks to demonstrate God’s love and compassion in practical ways. We believe that by extending a helping hand, providing resources, and standing alongside the people of Haiti, we can make a positive impact and contribute to their journey of rebuilding and restoration.
Join God’s Chosen Ones Ministry as we continue to serve and support the resilient people of Haiti. Together, let’s bring hope, healing, and transformation to this beautiful nation, working hand in hand towards a brighter future for all.

Our Communities

Kafev - Fèvres - Cavaillon

In a place called “Fèvres” lays a beautiful village community. This village has no paved roads, no professional schools, and no access to electricity. To access water these villagers are face enormous difficulties and dangers as the roads used are impractical. Fèvres is an agricultural community; all of the families here earn a living by farming as they have done for generations. Despite their best efforts these families continue to struggle to provide a better life for themselves. The children go to school in a building that only has only four small rooms. The dreams of these children focus on the unknown due to the underdevelopment which they are victims. These children have no pastimes, their only source of entertainment are games and toys they create amongst themselves. For these children there is no well thought out plan for their futures as the futures they dream of seem unattainable to them.

Thomazeau

In the community of “Thomazeau” there’s a village called “Dalman”, the inhabitants of this village face a multitude of obstacles. All of the inhabitants of Dalman are farmers, as such the land is their only source of income. In a country that suffers from drastic deforestation and heavy tropical rains or draught and scorching tropical temperatures many times farming the land is not even profitable. This is further compounded by the lack of resources and tools needed to adequately preform their vocation. They also do not have access to fertilizer and must use manual plows, most families do not own farm animals. To water their plants they have no irrigation system and the road leading to the water is not too feasible because that road is unpaved. Furthermore the water is not treated as authorities are not concerned for the well- being of these citizens. This village is home to many children therefore the building that houses the village church is also used for school. This school is facing great difficulties because they do not have adequate equipment for it to operate as the village has no access to electricity.

Ganthier

The city of “Ganthier” faces widespread complications due to poverty. Like most villages located outside of the capital, the people do not have access to drinking water and the water they use for their daily needs is difficult to transport because the so-called roads are difficult and dangerous to navigate. Most citizens are farmers and do not have adequate means to provide for their families. There is no access to electricity and the only school they know is facing tough times due to the lack of supplies. This makes it very difficult for students to learn.
