Clean Water Project in Jacmel Completes Phase One
Thanks to generous donations and community partnerships, GCOM recently completed the first phase of a clean water project in Jacmel. This initiative now provides safe drinking water to hundreds of families, significantly reducing waterborne illnesses in the community. The success of phase one motivates us to continue expanding this project to reach even more communities.
New School Opens in Port-au-Prince
Education opens doors to opportunity, and our latest achievement is the construction of a new school in Port-au-Prince. The school offers a safe, supportive environment for over 200 children who now have access to quality education. Equipped with classrooms, a library, and basic facilities, the school is a place of learning and empowerment.
Empowering Women Through Vocational Training
To promote self-sufficiency, GCOM has launched a vocational training program for women in Cap-Haïtien. This program teaches valuable skills such as tailoring, crafts, and basic business management, enabling women to start small businesses. The first group of women graduated this month, ready to build sustainable futures for themselves and their families.

A Volunteer’s Journey of Faith and Service
Meet Sarah, a GCOM volunteer who recently joined her first mission trip to Haiti. She shares her experience of connecting with the local community, assisting with medical camps, and witnessing the profound impact of faith and service. Her story is one of personal growth, and it reflects the heart of what GCOM stands for—transforming lives through compassion.
Hope Restored Through Healthcare
After years without access to healthcare, 68-year-old Jean-Baptiste finally received critical medical attention through a GCOM health camp. Diagnosed with diabetes, he now receives medication and check-ups to manage his health. “GCOM has given me a new chance at life,” he shares. Stories like Jean-Baptiste’s show how basic healthcare can profoundly change lives.
Nine-year-old Marie had dreams of becoming a teacher but was unable to attend school. With support from GCOM’s educational programs, Marie now attends school daily, and her enthusiasm for learning is contagious. Her progress reminds us of the power of education to inspire hope and ambition in Haiti’s youth.
